We have a family of 5 and we ordered a pizza for the kids and two PhillyCheeseSteak sub with a slice of cheesecake the husband and I. When they arrived with the delivery, they were missing one of our subs. The driver apologized and promised he would be back after his next delivery. He made good on his promise and even provided us with an additional cheesecake slice on the house for the inconvenience. He also thanked us for the tip we paid prior through the yelp eat system. The subs were ok and the pizza was delicious. All in all it was an overall positive experience.

Had the pasta shrimp an excellent choice. Shrimp cooked to perfection. Garlic rolls was very good. Salad was fresh and crispy. This place has a friendly atmosphere. Waitress was good friendly, kept a smile on her face!

DO NOT get the stromboli. The dough was RAW, and the filling tasted like nothing. It was a mess. Had to throw it away. The pizza was fine. Service was friendly.

I was looking for a good mom and pop deli to get an Italian sub. So I yelped this place, and made my way there. When I walked in at lunchtime I should have known something was wrong when there was only 2 people eating there. I ordered the Italian and honestly SubWay could have beaten this. The bread was a day old, very little meat and lots and lots and lots of lettuce. For my hard bread lettuce sandwich plus drink I paid $10+. Maybe their pizza is awesome , but I won't be finding out.

Cipriano's Chicago Italian beef sandwiches is one of the great sandwiches I've ever eaten. they cook the beef themselves for 6 hours the beef is hollowed out and filled with vegetables and then it simmers in the sauce that comes out of it and it's also used for the au jus served as a side. You can even get it with a sliced Italian sausage on top it tastes just like the ones that are world famous in Chicago I highly recommend Cipriano's in every way

I have been going to this place for about a year and a half and I have always enjoyed the food. The pizzas are excellent . You can get 2 large slices and a soda for 5.60 +tax lunch special . Every time I have ordered the pasta I have never been able to eat it all . I take home enough for another meal! The wings are top notch . Garlic rolls are delicious . This is a small restaurant with good food . I would recommend it to anyone that likes Italian food !

This place has horrible service. I went there on a Saturday early afternoon. Place was empty except for one other family eating a pizza. The guy took my order - but 20 minutes later he forgot to make it. This place is terrible

My friend called me saying he found the greatest new Italian restaurant, as I found out, he better start looking again. Now fairly, he raved about the shrimp scampi pizza, and the italian beef pizza, both I found to be pricey, but, I'll try it again just for the pizza, and then I can decide to write them off or not, but for now I had the italian beef sandwich and a small cup of pasta fagioli, and wasn't impressed with either. The soup was more of a minestrone then a pasta fagioli, I guess if I wanted a good pasta fagioli I'd go to Osterea De Tettro on the beach. Now the italian sandwich, was stuffed with beef, yes mushroom and onions are extra (shame on them), but, one thing they didn't have that the should if they want to copy the famous Chicago style beef sandwich is the spicy giardiniera sauce. They didn't even have a clue as to what it was. They wanted to give me cocktail sauce. So my beef sandwich was eeehhh ok, but nothing near great. I've decided I will make a pizza run there sometime in the near future, and either get the shrimp scampi pie, or the italian beef pie, but now I'm predisposed on giving them 2 1/2 stars, but I can't, so three stars because there nice and the restaurant is clean.

I live in Ft Lauderdale but I was driving past this place and decided to stop in... The staff was very friendly and when I asked some questions they were very knowledgeable and helpful. The place was clean and the bathrooms were in great shape.. I ordered the Italian Sub and I was floored, it was 1 of the top 2 Subs I have ever eaten, EVER.. I search them out in every city or state I visit, Chicago, NY, Tx, L.A. and many other places. This sandwich was great, Lots of quality meat, lots of fresh toppings and the bread was friken delicious. I can't believe ppl are complaining about the prices, They are normal for the quality of the ingredients you get and the portions they sere... This isn't crappy subway or papa johns. I'm sorry for the crap that ppl have eaten over the years, you taste buds have been screwed over. I earn and average salary and I want the best for my dollars, I was happy to buy here, worth every dollar I over heard people talking about the pizza and they seemed to be loving it, so next time I am there, I will be ordering 2 Subs and a pizza.... Lunch and Dinner, All Set!! It took me an hour to get home, but by 7pm I wanted to drive back and have dinner there..

The food is fair, but nothing too special... The place has a nice, relaxed atmosphere and good music not to loud.. The service is basically self serve... But the food leaves something to be desired... To be fair I judge an Italian place based on the spaghetti and meatballs...

I absolutely love their hot subs and wraps. Tastes just the flavors of what is added and nothing extra fancy needed to mask the ingredients. The pizzas are not bad but not my first choice to order from. Be careful ordering take outs to check your food because I've had a few misses where someone else was given my food.

I've had the Italian Sub twice from Cipriano's, and it is great! Certainly, the start of a good sub is the roll, and Mr. Cipriano sources his from a Hollywood bakery that supplies a roll that is better than any I've had from sub shops in the area. The crust is perfect. Piled on that are excellent Italian cold cuts, in this case capicola, genoa salami, mortadella and prosciutto. I chose lettuce, tomato, red onions, roasted red peppers, oregano and a sprinkle of oil and vinegar on top. Four italian meats on a sub around here is almost unheard of, and the difference is obvious from the first bite to the end. Cipriano himself was working the counter when I was there. It's usually a good sign when the owner is "hands-on", instead of the restaurant just being an absentee owner's investment. My wife enjoyed her chicken parmigiana sub, and we are making this our go-to neighborhood sub shop.

I've wanted to try this local small business for a while, and after a great morning at the park next door the family tried it out. When we first walked in everything seemed great. The lady at the front was friendly and happy to help. I first walked to the bathroom to wash up, and there was no soap in the mens room. After we ordered, my wife took my daughter to the bathroom and there was no toilet paper. While she was gone, a cook walked in from outside and smelled like he obviously just smoked a cigarette. No problem, people are entitled to do as they please. But he walked right behind the counter and started prepping food with his bare hands - without washing them. It was enough to make me ill. I said something to the nice lady at the front and she said she'd look into it. The food for the adults was fine, except that they overcharged us on one of the meals. It was rung up normal price even though it was on special today. The kids chicken nuggets included 5 tiny pieces of chicken - I guess that was fine. But by then I couldn't eat because in plain view was the cook who didn't wash his hands flipping dough in the air for pizzas. I felt horrible not warning all the other patrons. I hope no one gets sick.

This is my new favorite spot! I've ordered pizza from here which I loved and a greek salad with chicken multiple times. I am very picky about my salads and I have yet to find any pizza place that can serve a salad like my home town in the NE. However, my conquest to find something compatible to my home town food has finally been conquered and it is thanks to Cipriano's Deli! Therefore, I am giving this delicious place 5 stars!!

My brother and I literally found this place by being very indecisive eaters. We played the game, "next restaurant we see, is where we'll eat." Their pizza is OK. There is a seasoning on there that is a little off. Their calzones are AMAZING Their Anti-pasto Salad is OK They also serve subs and they have some yummy looking desserts. I will definitely go again and try some different items.

I came to Ciprianos the first week it opened because I had met the owner Richard before it was built and he told me about it and the fact that one of the items on the menu would be a Chicago Italian Beef Dip sandwich. I was extremely excited for Ciprianos to open because it was not only the only place around that served that sandwich, but it was close to my house. Unfortunately when I came to have the beef dip sandwich with Luis S we were thoroughly disappointed. It had no flavor, the meat was extremely dry, and the jus (which was on the side, instead of the sandwich being dipped in it) was flavorless. We were so let down. Fortunate for us, Richard is one of those rare business owners that's cares about his customers and what thy have to say. He had a change of staff, fixed the recipes and invited Luis S and I back for another shot at the beef dip sandwich (which was on him by the way...that shows how much he cares). This time around it was greatly improved. It was like a night and day difference. This way now a proper Chicago style beef dip sandwich. The meat was juicy and delicious. There were peppers and onions added to it that just enhanced the flavor. The jus had a delicious flavor that complemented the sandwich, and this time the sandwich was actually dipped in the jus AND it came with more on the side. I was very impressed at the improvement in the quality of the food. Richard was very grateful that we were willing to give Ciprianos another shot, and we were grateful to him as a business owner that he cared about the things we had to say (plus a free lunch is always nice). This time around I stopped in to try something different to see if the quality carried over, and it sure did. I had the Sweet Italian Sausage and Peppers Sub. The flavors were all on point. The sausage was sweet but the peppers and the marinara added a nice spice to it which balanced it out nicely. I am now proud to say that Ciprianos makes delicious food and it is definitely worth your time giving it a try.

I placed an order to be delivered to my family in Palmetto Bay (I live in NJ). I ordered a tray of sandwhiches, salads and desserts. The price was on point, the gentleman who took my order was VERY nice, they delivered on time and the food was (so I heard) great! I highly recommend giving them business.

I've driven by Cipriano's at least twice a week for the last 4 years I've lived in Cutler Bay. Something about the huge cartoonish sign turned me off from trying the food. Last week the family and I found ourselves in the area and decided to give them a try. Initially, I felt the menu was a little limited and everything seemed overpriced. We ordered an Italian sandwich with fries and a chicken parm over penne with a coke. This was $30. The sandwich was okay light on the meats and we were charged extra for cheese? Who does that? The chicken parm smelled amazing and was pretty good. But then again thats a dish you can't really mess up. My issue with it was the red sauce or "marinara" if you can call it that. It was 85% onions and I'm not talking thinly sliced onions I'm talking full on big in your face onions chunks. I happen to enjoy cooked onions and halfway through the dish I had to stop eating the sauce and just eat around the onions. They also don't sell pizza by the slice which was disappointing. I think I'll continue driving by.

This place opened where my old gym used to be so I thought it'd be poetic justice if I could stretch out my speedo in the very spot I used to do lunges until I blacked out. Burger Beast recommended the Chicago Italian style beef on his facebook page, so that's what I went looking for. Now, as someone who's been to Philippe The Original in downtown LA, I know damned well what an au jus sandwich is supposed to taste like. Friends, I can tell you this sure as hell wasn't it. This sandwich left me wishing someone would drown ME in au jus. I also didn't appreciate that the $7.95 doesn't include cheese or onions or mushrooms. That's extra. Not cool. That means a sandwich can quickly add up to $10 or more if you get anything on it. $18.45 for a 16" pizza?? $10 for spaghetti and meatballs?!? Seriously? That's just not gonna fly in this neighborhood.

Sucks to see so many negative reviews on here for this place. It seems that most are related to service. We happen to eat here because of Tropical Storm Isaac and they were the only place open. Lucky for us that turned out to be a good thing. The meatballs were a 5 out of 5 very good! The pizza 4 out of 5. I can't comment on the service because we picked up but I would definitely recommend the pizza and meatballs!

Ever since Cipriano's Deli opened late last year, I've wanted to go in and see what this place is all about. Located on 17579 S. Dixie Hwy in Palmetto Bay, the deli sits on the corner of a small business center. The banner and colors of their sign is eye catching. If it wasn't for the sign reading deli, subs, pizza, and pasta one would think this is just another pizzeria. Walking in through the main doors the first thing you notice is their cleanliness. The place was spotless. The cashier is there as you walk in. To the right they have a white board with the specials. They had two pizza slices and a medium drink for $5, which is not bad in this economy. They charge $.35 for each additional topping. I went to sit down to the left of the deli. They have tables outside, but this April has been rather hot in Miami. Sitting down I noticed they have a 36-42 inch LCD TV, which was tuned to Fox News. Some of the employees who were talking to friends in the front went by every table with a cloth making sure the eating area was clean. About nine minutes after I placed my order, my order number was called. Advertisement Immediately it was noticeable that the pizza slices were a bit overly baked. The crust was a shade darker than golden brown. The tomatoes tasted fresh and not baked with the pizza, which is great if you ordered the pizza with fresh tomatoes. The cheese on the pizza tasted pretty good and was full of spices and herbs. The crust oh, the crust! The crust was pretty toasted and crunchy with every bite. Sadly, the crust was not really that tasteful on its own. Even at the end of a pizza you would be enticed by the pizza maker to eat the crust. After all, a lot of pizza makers say the crust is the most important part of a pizza pie. Unfortunately, it was bland and fell short of my expectations. This place gets a solid 3 stars. It gets 5 Stars for cleanliness and appeal. And 2.5 Stars for taste and preparation. The Good: 1. Cleanliness 2. Affordable specials 3. The herbs and spices used with the cheese The Bad: 1. Pizza slices slightly overcooked 2. No garlic powder accessible to the customer

Great little place to grab a bite - walked in here for the first time today, and everyone was really nice.... I like to make complicated orders (yeah, I'm that guy) and they were very accomodating and even made suggestions to make it better! try their butternut squash soup - fresh made in house, great way to start.... I had the sweet italian sausage sub with a gang of mozzarella and their signature garlic sauce... it was like biting into a baby unicorn, so delicate and refined - melted mozzarella pulling off each morsel of amazingness. YEAHHH! wifey had the chicken parm spaghetti, which was pretty fuckin' baller if you ask me - she was visibly enjoying the shit out of it. so let's wrap this bitch up... great selection, easy going people, and pretty decent price points lead me to believe I will happily return to said establishment.... rock on, my sweet bitches.

We are on vacation here in South Miami and wanted pizza delivered. I've driven up US 1 many times, and saw this place. And the name sounded like it deserved a try. The pizza was average. Thin crust, but it was rather chewy. We also got soup, which tasted exactly like canned Campbell's minestrone I grew up eating. Didn't even look right, as in the soup was clear. Aren't tomatoes supposed to be in minestrone? But again, it was very obviously canned soup. We also got salads. The salads themsevles were ok, but the dressing that was delivered had a sticker on it with a date 4 days ago. Is that "expired 4 days ago" or "dumped out of the bottle into the plastic cup 4 days ago?" For 2 pizzas, 2 salads, and a cup of soup, I thought it was rather expensive. It was all "OK" but by no means would I go out of my way to go back.

Was hoping for a good pizza place which is hard to find in the South Dade area. This is the first one my husband and I both agree on - it's a keeper! The pizza was really good. Spoke to the Manager (maybe owner) who told us they use all the best, high quality ingredients. Honestly the pizza was really too oily for our taste. We blotted the slices with napkins. The flavor and done-ness were really good. We ordered a cheese and also a peperoni pizza. Both were good, as well as the heaping serving of the anti-pasta salad.

I went to this place for dinner with my friend. I had the Italian Sandwich and my friend had the Longhorn. You order at counter. Service was efficient and fast. This place is not as cheap as i would have liked it to be as I paid $8.94 + tax for each sandwich. Cheese on the sandwich?, an extra 0.99 cents per sandwich. Both sandwiches were a good size . However the Italian tasted a lot better, since its cold cuts were tasty and flavorful. The Longhorn Roast Beef did not taste quite as good, even though there was a decent amount of roast beef piled high, it was very dry and lacked a lot of flavor. I did not try their pizza.

Pizza's great - delivery not so! The pizza's are great .. but this is the second time we have pizza delivered and it goes wrong. The wait for delivery was 1 hour which we agreed to. The pizza arrived a little over an hour and was cold. When I opened the box, it was not the pizza we ordered ... I called them and the lady was very nice but said that the delivery would take another 35 to 40 minutes. Keep in mind this is after already waiting a little over an hour for the original order. Way too long! There was no mention of a discount or money back or anything. We're not looking for a freebie here but one would think that Cipriano's would at least do something to make the situation better, at least a coupon for next time or something. The first time we had pizza delivered it took way over an hour and a half ... and the pizza was cold. I thought we would try the delivery again ... but after tonight, I do not recommend the delivery from this place ... two times seem like too much to me.

pick-up only so far so no review on dining in. 1st time, I had the chicken parm sub and hubby had the calzone and it was aight, but the 2nd time they hooked us with their scampi pizza and I have no interest in trying anything else. yummy stuff. garlic rolls were ok and a bit small so hubby eats 3 all by himself. their desserts are made in-house and the key lime cheesecake is ridonculously good and a good deal at $2.95 for a huge piece. they have free delivery but we haven't tried this yet.

After a long hiatus and Jacob C and I decided to give Cipriano's another shot. As soon as we walk in the place is nice and clean just as it was in it's inception. I have heard the pizza here is good, but Jacob and I decided to give there Chicago style Aj jous sandwich another shot. The first one we had tasted like cardboard and was lacking a long list of things. Finally our sandwich arrived and it was drenched in Aj jous sauce (this is a good thing) lots of peppers and cheese, the first one lacked all of the above. The moment was intensifying as the sandwich made it's way to my mouth, and after the first bite I was hooked! It was delicious! The sandwich was everything we had hoped for and more. After our meal was done the owner Richard was on his laptop, and we decided to give him some kudos. Apparently when they first opened he was having some problems with the consistency with the food and staff. Thankfully he was able to correct everything and so far so good. Richard is a cool dude and is really passionate about his Deli which is a nice thing to see. Cipriano's is back on the map for a good bite to eat. If you go you must try their Beef dip sandwich.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
